36 Hours Editing Challenge
Overview
In this 36-hour editing challenge, I created a fan-made trailer for Death Stranding by remixing footage from both games. Working solo in DaVinci Resolve, I handled every aspect of post-production, including footage selection, editing, sound design, mixing, color grading, and subtitles. The goal was to craft a trailer that felt like an official release, capturing the tone and cinematic style of Kojima Productions.
Editing & Production Process
With limited time, I followed a structured workflow. First, I selected and preprocessed footage to ensure visual consistency. Then, I built a narrative through precise cuts, transitions, and pacing, blending scenes from both games. Sound design was critical—I mixed dialogue, environmental effects, and music to enhance impact. Finally, color grading brought everything together, matching the desaturated, high-contrast look of Death Stranding.
Final Result
The finished trailer reached around 5,000 views, drawing strong engagement and positive feedback. This challenge reinforced my ability to work under pressure, make fast creative decisions, and deliver a polished, cinematic edit in record time.
